About the Race
The Tenley Tiger Run turns 6 on Sunday, May 3, 2020!
With your help, the Tenley Tiger Run continues to grow! Last year we had over 500 racers. The Tenley Tiger Run promotes a healthy community and helps build a base of financial support for the Wilson Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams. Your participation will help the team train and compete at a higher level including travel to invitationals (fees, transportation, lodging, food), equipment, and coaching clinics.
The race is organized by the Wilson Track Boosters with the support of Wilson Tiger Athletics and many generous sponsors.

Race course
5K Race
The course is a loop: race twice for a USATF-certified 5K. The course begins on Chesapeake near the Wilson Auditorium entrance. Runners head west on Chesapeake, then turn right on Belt Road, then left on Harrison, then left on 41st Street, then left on Chesapeake, and right on 40th Street past Wilson High School. Then turn left in the turn that occurs just before Albemarle and continue back to 40th Street past Wilson High School and turn right on Chesapeake down to a U-turn back to 41st Street to repeat the loop. The finish line for all races occurs in front of the main entrance to Wilson High School.
